Systems that do not talk to each other cost time and cause errors. But do you choose an integration or a software robot? We explain the difference.
Working with separate systems that do not cooperate? Then you know the double work and the errors. There are roughly two ways to solve this: an API integration or RPA.
API integration: the clean route
If systems have an API, we connect them directly. Data flows automatically and reliably from one system to another. This is the preferred option: stable and fast. Read more about connections between systems.
RPA: when there is no integration
Not every (older) system has an API. Then RPA offers a solution: a software robot that mimics an employee's actions — logging in, copying data, clicking buttons — but error-free and 24/7.
What should you choose?
- Has an API: choose an integration
- No API or legacy system: RPA is the smart in-between solution
We often combine both. Want to know what works best in your situation? Get in touch.
